Cox Newspapers, Inc. to Implement VoicePort Solution in Palm Beach

Pittsford, NY. May 30, 2006.  Cox Newspapers, Inc. has selected the CircPort speech application to field circulation phone calls to the Palm Beach Post and the Palm Beach Daily News. The total combined circulation for these newspapers is over 220,500.

CircPort is the leading speech driven IVR solution for the print media industry.  More than fifty customers have selected VoicePort applications to handle their calls in the United States and Canada. The application is easily integrated with all of the leading circulation databases including legacy systems such as the one employed by the Palm Beach Post and Palm Beach Daily News. This integration eliminates the need to re-key information, and frees agents up for higher value tasks.

"Speech is a proven, effective IVR solution, in many ways superior and better received than touch-tone" said Christopher Caneles, Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Cox Newspapers, Inc. "CircPort will decrease our call center costs without sacrificing the caller experience."

"After comparing several IVR providers, VoicePort was the clear choice for our newspapers" said Barry Berg, Vice President of Circulation at the Palm Beach Post. "VoicePort will help us to provide 24/7 service to our readers, allowing them to make payments, schedule a vacation hold, and manage their account at their convenience."

"Cox Newspapers' goal is to increase customer satisfaction and retention," said Kevin Cawley, Director of North American Sales for VoicePort. "Implementing the CircPort solution will help them to achieve these goals by reducing hold times, and providing an improved caller experience."
