The San Francisco Chronicle live with CircPort
Rochester, NY April 7, 2008 The San Francisco Chronicle, a Hearst Communications Inc. newspaper, announces their implementation of VoicePorts circulation IVR, CircPort OnPremise. The San Francisco Chronicle, the Bay Areas largest newspaper, has implemented VoicePorts circulation Interactive Voice Response (IVR), CircPort OnPremise. The Hearst owned newspaper replaced its previous touch tone IVR with VoicePort's speech solution to service its daily subscriber base of 326,604. CircPort OnPremise is now taking all inbound San Francisco Chronicle circulation call center calls 24/7 for delivery problems, vacation stops and starts, and account inquiries. CircPort directly integrates with their Aspect CTI application, Contact Server, and to a new DTI (formerly Publishing Business Systems) circulation database. We needed VoicePort to integrate with both our legacy circulation system and our new circ system, said Juliette Mitchell, Circulation Customer Relationship Manager at The San Francisco Chronicle. We had a time-sensitive IVR issue that made it imperative that we meet our implementation date. VoicePort was flexible and quickly built the integration to both circulation systems on very short notice. "Our deep domain expertise enables us to rapidly deploy and adapt our solutions- even in the most unique situations- while simultaneously providing an improved caller experience," said Kevin Cawley, Director of North American Sales at VoicePort. "By selecting CircPort, The San Francisco Chronicle has affirmed our industry-wide recognition as the leader in speech IVRs."
